VLC Media Player 2.0.4 is now available for download

VLC VideoLan Media Player is a free and open source multimedia player, that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols. It is simple to use, yet very powerful and extendable. It handles DVDs, (S)VCDs, Audio CDs, web streams, TV cards and much more.

VLC Media Player 2.0.4 introduces Opus support, improves Youtube, Vimeo streams and Blu-Ray dics support. It also fixes many issues in playback, notably on Ogg and MKV playback and audio device selections and a hundred of other bugs.

Changes between 2.0.3 and 2.0.4:

• Improve playback synchronization with PulseAudio.
• Fix ALSA digital pass-through ("S/PDIF").
• Fix live audio device selection on Mac OS X
• Fix detection of some 5.1 and 7.1 kits on Windows.
